We had another successful summer at the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House and would like to thank all of our wonderful visitors, Jerry's Rangers and rowdy amphitheatre supporters who made our season so enjoyable.  During the off season consider taking a road trip to the South Island and visit us a the Goldstream Nature House, our year-round facitility in amazing Goldstream Provincial Park.

I Scream for Ice Cream Sunday, August 22, 2010

It doesn't get any sweeter than Ice Cream Sundays "By Donation" at the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House on Sunday, August 22, between 11:00am and 2:00pm.  Ice Cream has been generously donated by Island Farms to help support the Nature House at Rathtrevor Beach.  Come on out, enjoy a tasty treat and find out what a wonderful place the park is to visit! 


Picnic in the Park! Sunday, July 25, 2010

Join us for a "barbeque by donation" at the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House on Sunday, July 25!  Picnics have long since been a time of sharing tasty food and having fun.  The Nature House Staff have put together activities and games and the barbeque will be hot with hot dogs for all.  Everything is by donation and all proceeds go toward funding the programs that we all love and the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House.  Find out if you're the Bocce champion of Rathtrevor Beach!  Hope to see you at the Nature House!


Summer Program Schedule Online and Programs in Full Swing!

We've updated our 2010 summer program schedule for the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House which you will find under Public Programs then Summer or follow the link here. 

Programs at Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park happen at the Rathtrevor Beach Nature House and the Rathtrevor Beach Amphitheatre.  If you are visiting the park to attend one of the programs and are unsure of where to find either of these locations (Jerry's Rangers afternoon programs are at the Nature House and the evening all ages programs are at the amphitheatre) walk over to the campground gatehouse and our friendly staff there would be more than happy to give you directions.

Don't miss out on these wonderful program opportunities and please consider making a donation to support these programs if you enjoy having them as a resource in your area!


 Register Now for Spring 2010 Programs

You can now register your class for our amazing spring programs in all of our various locations in Mid Vancouver Island.  We offer programs in Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park and on Newcastle Island.  We also can run programs at Moorecroft Camp in Nanoose Bay.  Finally, our Naturalists are also available to come to you...wherever you are as we do in-school and nearby nature programs in just about any location.  If you are interested in finding out more, look through our website to see our standard program offerings or contact us to arrange a program specifically tailored to your group.  Up until May, 2010, you can speak with our staff at the Goldstream Nature House at (250) 478-9414 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.  HAY! It's Rath Farm Day!

Rath Farm DayRath Farm Day on Sunday, August 9th 2009 at the Rathtrevore Beach Nature House was a huge success celebrating the farming history of Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park.  Activities between 11:00am and 3:00pm included potato harvesting, old fashioned races and goats to pet!  We are looking forward to another successful Rath Farm Day in 2010!  Keep checking www.naturehouse.ca to find out information on upcoming programs and events!

Come Paint the Park with Monk

Throughout the summer at Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, local artist Monk brings art to the park for visitors.  Monk's unique style involves inviting you to paint with her on her painting.  You will add your brush strokes, sign the back as a contributor and at the end of the season the original masterpiece will help to support the education programs in the Park.  Join Monk at the entrance to the beach every Friday at 1:00pm for Monk's "Collaborative,Commemorative and Community Art"!
