Survivors

Goldstream Single Logo 2 copyWatch as your class is stranded on an island or in a park (wishful thinking) and challenged to survive the rigors of Survivors! Challenges will test your students’ ability to experience, remember and recall the natural and cultural history of the park.  Two teams will compete in a series of tests, culminating in the final challenge that will draw on the skills and knowledge they learned the day before. Possible challenges include a beach seine with marine life identification, making rope from raw plant fibers, learning about ethnobotanical uses for native plants, a historical scavenger hunt, and making fire without matches or lighters.  Challenges and activities vary between parks!

This year we are offering Survivors at Horne Lake Regional Park, Rathtrevor Beach and Goldstream Park.  Prices and schedules vary between parks. Contact us for specific information on the Survivors program in the park you are most interested in.  We offer survivors as a 1-day, 2-day and 3-day program.
