Sleeping With the Salmon Want an incredible year end/team building opportunity for your class? Scout group? or youth group?


Discover one of the West Coast’s most iconic species; the Pacific Salmon! Get up-close to the spawning salmon with lifecycles to dissections, we will leave no fin overlooked.  Make a salmon print pillowcase to take home; go for a night walk along the Goldstream River, to witness these creatures when they're most active. 

This program is only offered during the annual salmon run at Goldstream Park from October to December.  Click here to register online or contact us directly.


Program Schedule
As the program happens in the Goldstream Nature House we will start/end when the Nature House closes/opens for daily operation. Typically programs begin at 5pm and ends at 8am.

Please ask about a tentative itinerary apon booking your program.

nh sleepOvernight Program Option (Sleep in the Nature House)

Wake up to breakfast outside the Nature House.
During the overnight portion of your stay there will be a naturalist sleeping in the building as well. They are there to get the morning breakfast underway.


Nature House rules:

-We require at least one adult for every 12 children; 
-There is no smoking or pets allowed inside;.
-We try to be as conservation oriented in our
programs as possible.
-Do not pick up materials in our park to take back to your classroom or for the students to take back home.
-Everyone should have a good time.

WHAT TO BRING: Basic Program

-waterproof shoes.
-warm, warm clothes - best are cloths that don't. make a lot of noise (wool or acrylic sweaters). Gortex, leather or taffetta are out.
-a warm hat (toque).
-mittens or gloves.
-a mug with your name on it
-nametags (on adults too).
-flashlights for adults only.

Overnight Program

- pyjamas.
-sleeping bag.
-sleeping pad, foamie, insulite.
-slippers.
-toothbrush, toothpaste.
-personal gear.
-bring a nocturnal animal to sleep with (stuffed plush toys only - no live animals please).
-any medications you need.
-a lunch for the next school day.


Pricing Information
(minimum group charge of 20 participants, GST not included)
Note: Adult fees are for 1 adult per 5 paying participants.  Additional adults will be charged full participant rates.
